INFOSECURUS, INC. LAUNCHES INFORMATION SECURITY TRAINING PRACTICE

InfoSecurus, Inc., a South Portland, Maine-based company, recently added a full-fledged training practice to its array of Information Security services.

Training provides one of the best Return-On-Investment propositions for security-aware organizations, and can also be a mandated requirement. Information Security is about people, not computers, and the more aware and trained employees are, the more secure the organization is. In the Standards for Safeguarding Customer Information Rule, the Federal Trade Commission noted that there are three specific "areas that the Commission believes are particularly relevant to information security." The first such area mentioned by the FTC is "Employee training."

Our team of experienced and certified trainers offers Instructor-led classes to technical and non-technical audiences alike. InfoSecurus, Inc creates customized curriculum based on the client’s security needs, corporate culture and industry requirements/best practices. InfoSecurus Instructors also teach Certification-based classes such as Security+, the Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) or the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).

The InfoSec Training Practice Director is David Jacquet, MCSE, CEH, CCE, CISSP. David has been in IT for 12 years, and an IT Instructor for over 8 years. David also published 12 IT books on such topics as Information Security, Microsoft networking and Cisco routing and switching. David is a Certified EC Council Instructor, and was a Microsoft Certified Trainer for 5 years. Prior to working in IT, Mr. Jacquet was a College Instructor at such institutions of higher learning as the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Bowdoin College and the Naval Academy.
