INFOSECURUS LAUNCHES NEW ENGLAND ISO GROUP

InfoSecurus, Inc., an information security services firm located in South Portland, officially launched the New England Information Security Officers’ Group with an inaugural meeting on September 10, 2009. The inaugural speaker was Robert Carr, the CEO of Heartland Payment Systems, victims of the highly publicized 2008 data breach during which 130 million credit card numbers were stolen, affecting consumers in Maine and across New England. The group’s mission is to bring Information Security Officers from many different industries together to share their challenges, successes and experiences to help each other in their daily positions. He gave a very interesting talk about lessons learned that will benefit our members.
